Buddhism: The History
In 563 B.C. Siddhartha Gautama is born in Lumbini, Nepal. He was born the watchword of the head of the Sakya warrior caste, later in his life he was cognise also as Sakyamuni which means Sage of the Sakyas. The name Gautama Buddha is a combination of his family name Gautama and the appellation Buddha, meaning Enlightened One.
Buddha at the age of sixteen married a neighboring princess and shortly began to start and raise a family. He appeared to have everything; wealth, capacious appearance, a model wife, a kid, and a throne that he would soon someday inherit. Siddhartha in his late twenties became apprised of the pain of illness, the sorrow that death may bring, and the effects of grizzly age in the human beings. For this reason he gave up his royal clothes, shaved his head, abandoned his family, and set off to capture the true meaning of life.
During the first part of his venture he followed the examples of the Ascetics. The Ascetics were spate who practiced self-denial to achieve an understanding of the ultimate reality. Abuse of his physical body, however only led to a close experience of death from not eating. Once he learned of this he left Asceticism and went to an intense outcome of meditation.

One night while he was sitting in meditation under a tree, he reached enlightment as to as to the meaning of life. He spent the rest of his life lecture what he had discovered. Buddhas teachings became the basic principles of Buddhism.

Siddhartha denied the reality of the material world. He believed that the physical surroundings of humans were simply illusions. Pain, poverty, and sorrow that discompose people are caused by their attachment to things of this world when people let go of their worldly cares, their pain and sorrow sewer be forgotten. Then comes lore; also known as bohdi which is the root word of Buddhism and of Siddharthas usual name Gautama Buddha. Achieving wisdom is one key step to reaching Nirvana.
